Vega "Pop" Art
The word "pop" doesn't seem much about being popular, or something cool. It seems more about making something vintage or retro, new. Especially with music. My brother (Butch Vig) makes some hard sounding things into "pop songs". Most don't sound "vintage" though.
Pop Art began in the 50's and reached its peak in the 60's and is built on both abstract art and commercial advertising styles much of it employing non-traditional methods.
I do explore anti-traditional methods with gunpowder and high speed fuse. And in my case the "pop" is more what happens after I light the fuse. Boom!
