In A Mean But Fantastic World Creativity Wins!

I came from a place where there was always creativity.

My Mom was the heart of it.  

Art. Music. Imagination. Fun. Always fun.

I was always creative with lots of ideas.  

But it was hard.  I needed to make a living.  I needed health care.   I needed to make rent.

So creativity gets set aside for hard work.

But, I had so many ideas.  

Renee is the one who saw that in me.

She said, "Paint".

But nothing came easy.  I fought for it

I've have many opportunities.  I worked my way to business owner and CEO.

Then I quit.

No one understood. Everybody likes easy equations. A simple path. Things that are understood. But I am much more complex than that.  People are much more complex than that.  The world is much more complex than that.  It is mean.  It is fantastic. So, creativity wins.

I'm privileged to do what I do.  I do not take it for granted.

I get the satisfaction of making things.

I just became a grandfather.  I cried. 

I hope to share with her all I know.
