Vega Readies New Fusographs For October Show!

The prints were delivered yesterday. Perfect.

I am preparing to fuse burn 15 new images. The best of which will debut at  MMOCA Gallery Night in October.  The exhibit will be at Hawks Quindel in Madison, WI.

I am naming these new works Fusographs.  

Fusograph sounds both sort of vintage and new at the same time.  And the name works as I am talking photographs with my old Fuji X100 and abstracting them in Camera Bag and Luminar. Then, I make prints and burn them up with fast, slow, and hand held fuse.  Hence fuse burned photos.  Fusographs.

Sounds easy.  They burn up and scratch so easy, though.  So it is painstaking work.

They are worth the pain.

Fusographs.

I believe these Fusographs will give a full account of the depth and density of space, sound, and atmosphere. A truth to nature perhaps?
