Stick Vega To Be Featured Artist At FCI Art Show!
The Blast Factory announced today that Stick Vega will be the featured artist for the Food Concepts Inc Art Show and Auction. The event will be Thursday, October 16th from 5:30 to 9:00 pm. This will be the 7th Annual Art Show and proceeds go to prevent homelessness and hunger. Professional, emerging, and novice artists will display paintings, prints, poster art, photography, jewelry, and metal, glass, wood sculptures. The show takes place at FCI, 2551 Parmenter Street, Middleton, WI.
Vega was planned as the feature artist next year but is filling in this year for watercolorist JoAnne Warren. JoAnne was tragically killed in a recent automobile accident. "I cannot express how sad I am for JoAnne's friends and family. I hope they find some comfort in the life they find in her work. Everyone at our studio expresses our deepest sympathy", said Vega.
Stick will present a group of gunpowder and high speed fuse paintings, drawings and fine art prints. There will also be a number of cool posters and other items. Vega will also give a short talk regarding his inspiration and process.
Food Concepts Inc. holds the show and auction as a means to support both the arts and civic awareness of families in need.
