Park Hotel And Destree Design Add Original Stick Vega Art To Renovation Mix!

The Blast Factory announced today that Inn on the Park, soon to be knows as Park Hotel in Madison, WI, working with Destree Design Architects, has commissioned and selected 5 original Stick Vega paintings for a top floor one-bedroom suite.

Inn on the Park, 22 South Carroll Street, is completing an extensive interior and exterior remodel.  The hotel, originally built in 1871, will return to to its original name of Park Hotel.

Working with designer Meg Arndt and from fabric swatches and drawings, Stick Vega produced 5 original works of art that are now placed in room 922 - one of the hotel's two designer suites.

"I produced a large  gunpowder and fuse, color groove piece titled "Tomorrow Belongs To You" as well as an abstract, deep burn, fuse artwork.  I was worried the colors would work with the beautiful finishes in the room.  We completed the installation and they look fantastic!" said Stick Vega.

An urban landmark on the Capitol Square, the hotel is located directly across from the magnificent Capitol building. The suite opened and was rented for the first time this week.

Vega continued, "The Park Hotel owners, management, and designers believe the original artwork will create a unique, luxurious upgrade and a way of making a one-of-a-kind experience for guests using the space.  Also, from a new process, using super slow burning "long range" gunpowder I created three drawings that are placed in the room.  They look pretty cool.  I hope whoever stays there has a blast!".
