I Love Grit And Grain! So I Blow Up Things!

Grit and Grain.jpeg

I love grit.

I love grain.

I hate perfection.

This is the only way I can do my art.

I have a hard time keeping my desk and studio organized.  A mess is better right?

My work is messy.  Seriously.  I blow up things.  They start on fire. There is debris. Then, I use a scraper, and brush and a garbage can to finish it up. My work is messy. Sometimes it is out of control...

Like life.

Life is not perfect.  It shouldn't be.  It is textured.  Things evolve.

I love bright colors.  I love neutral colors.  Red one day.  Gray the next. Days change.

So do my thoughts.  I'm human.

My dentist yesterday said she would like to know what is going on in my head.  How was I supposed to answer that?

It's a jumbled mess of ideas.  I fear that I won't get them all done.  I'm trying to be brave.  I'm excited. I try to keep hustling. I blow up things.

When I use gunpowder and fuse to blast my art to life the results are uncertain.  I really don't know what is going to happen.  It is never perfect. But I hope people feel something.  Or, that they are inspired to break out and doing something new.

I love grit.

I love grain.

I hate perfection.

That is the only way I can do my art.

Boom!
