GALLERY 1308 OPENING RECEPTION SET!
Pounds of gunpowder, yards of fuse, and piles of ash - and the resulting fire and explosions - have led to this!
The Wisconsin Union Art Directorate will present the explosion art of The American Gunpowder Artist, Stick Vega, at Gallery 1308 (Union South - Madison, WI). The show will include gunpowder paintings, drawings and fine art prints.
WUD art will host an opening reception Friday, June 13th from 6-8pm with food and refreshments. Vega will show about fifteen artworks which represent Vega's "Pop" Expressionism including some of his figurative and abstract work. A facebook link to the event can be found here.
"Gallery 1308 is a great space, run by great people, I am sure this will be a blast!", said Stick Vega.
The show will continue through July 29th.

The American Gunpowder Artist, Stick Vega, uses high speed fuse and gunpowder to produce his "pop expressionism" figurative and abstract paintings. In a blast, his recent explosion work depicts colorful animals, flowers, and explosive shapes. Stick's mission is, "the more gunpowder I use the less there is for killing people."
Extraordinary Music will by Nick Nice will be in the Sett (down the hall from the Gallery from 5 to 7PM.
BBQ dinner and fish fry will and lots of cold beer will be on tap, too!
